Operation Warm Heart (OWH) at Eglin AFB is a First Sergeant-led initiative providing financial support, food vouchers, and grants to Airmen and families during times of hardship.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it operates through donations to offer assistance when other resources are unavailable. The program also organizes food drives.
Eglin First Sergeants provide financial relief through cash, gift cards, grants, and food vouchers.
Financial Support: In cases of financial hardship, Airmen can be nominated by their unit's first sergeant for assistance.
Food Security: The Eglin Mobile Food Pantry operates in conjunction with first sergeants, often based out of the West Gate Chapel, providing food assistance for families.
Donations: Funding comes from Base Chapel donations, commissary shoppers, and specific fundraising events, often heavily promoted during the holiday season.
Organization: It acts as a recognized, charitable organization within the Air Force structure to ensure financial aid supports the morale and welfare of personnel.
