About this tournament

Leading up to the annual Summer Meltdown, Palm Beach Disc Golf is challenging local players to run the gauntlet on all 5 Palm Beach Courses. This Points series will roll into the B Tier at Meltdown as the top 5 players of 6 ratings based divisions will accumulate points leading up to the finale at Meltdown.
It is an abbreviated sports season where competitors in their respective divisions will compete at each event with the season Finale being at Meltdown. There will be a standings where participants will move up or down depending on where they finish in the event. At the end of the season(at Meltdown Awards) the top 5 points leaders in each division will receive their awards/winnings.

Each scheduled stop in the series is it's own individual event with winners for that event.
So no one needs to participate in all the stops for a chance to win/play in each individual event or to still place in the standings. The points for the series are in addition to payout structures and finishing position at each event.

The Ace Fund at each event, if not hit, will roll over to the next event, and if not hit by meltdown we will have a throw off for the grand total!

If the player is not a PDGA member the TD can place them where they want. If they are not current the TD can see and use the previous rating.

Divisions:
Gold-pro 970+ really good, throws accurately and far, makes most putts, very little cursing, may talk about angles a lot
Blue-advanced 935+ kinda good, throws decent makes more putts than misses, says curses words after every 3-4 throws, wonders aloud about why they’re not pro yet
White-intermediate 900+ getting better, makes some good throws and putts, curses about how they turned over their most overstable disc every 1-2 throws
Red-recreational 850+ throws 200ish but not necessarily in the intended direction, makes most of their 10’ putts, even after winning lots a people continually retake this class
Green-novice 800+ here for a good time, uh no you can’t just flip your disc over to mark your lie, what’s a lie
