About this tournament
1 round of play
We are working with Fisher Titus and their mental and behavioral clinic for this event. 50% of the proceeds and all donations collected the day of will be donated to the programs through this part of the hospital. Suicide and Addiction are two vary real facts of life especially here in our area. A member from the clinic as well as someone from the Park and Rec/City will be out to make speeches on just how real this is in our community. I am also working on trying to get in contact with Scott Woolsey's parents to see if they might want to come speak as well.
For those of you that do not know, Scott was a disc golfer here in Norwalk. He was a victim of suicide a couple years back and he is kind of the inspiration for this event. His family raised some money and donated it to the city and they built us the concrete pad with the bench and sign behind hole 1 at the Great Blue Heron. This event will be in honor of him and the many other unfortunate victims that our community has given up to suicide or addiction.
Please come out and help us bring awareness to just how real this issue is in our area. On behalf of the Norwalk Area DGA, I thank you in advance for your donation and or participation in this event!! Hope to see you out there!
As always we are seeking donations to help push this event into the record books, if you would like to donate to this event please contact Dustin Brummitt at 419-681-4998 or Keith Blakely at 419-681-6180
