About this tournament
Naked Acres Race in Space
Join us at Naked acres for the 2023 Space Race! We will take turns throwing two discs at each basket. You will be rewarded for hitting metal, chains or getting the ace!
The entry fee will include two discs from MVP, the course fee and optional Ace pot.
GEN division is without the ace pot and MPO division is with the ace pot.
The Discs are:
- Total Eclipse Envy: a stable putter. This is regarded as one of MVP's best throwing putters for accurate approaches.
- Total Eclipse Paradox: a super understable and easy to throw mid-range that should flip out of a hard hyzer to fly straight and far.
Scoring:
-Take 2 throws per hole using the included discs
- Points are awarded based on metal hits and Aces.
-Metal hit is 1 point (ie. pole or basket)
-Chain or band hit is 3 points (ie. chains or above)
-Ace hit is 5 points (ie. supported by the chains or basket)
If a single disc hits multiple metals you count the higher value. Ex. If a Disc hits chain and then basket, that Disc will count as 3 points.
The most points at the end of the round wins! TBA on Prizes besides that there will be an optional ace pot.
The Mixed pro Division is for Players competing for the Ace pot
50% of the Ace pot will go to the player that gets the most points overall. The other 50% of the Ace pot will go to the player with the most Aces hit. The same person cannot get both ace pots In the event of a tie for either there will be a playoff!
We will be playing a modified layout at Naked Acres. TBA on layout and number of holes being played.
So far it might snow during the week in Vernon but for the weekend it should just be cloudy or clear and below zero. Here are items I recommend bringing;
-UV Flashlight (best for getting your glow discs lit)
- Normal flashlight to reduce tripping
-Glow sticks/a way for other players to see each other
-Warm layers
-Bag for things
-Phone to keep score but if not or pencil and paper
-Towel or two as there is a creek near some baskets and It could be snowy
