Join us for the 3rd year of NXNW (North by Northwest), a 2-day, 2-round PDGA-sanctioned tournament! This year's event has been upgraded to a B-Tier!
For this event, all players will play 2 rounds on the same course both days with some divisions on the Gold Course and some divisions on the Red Course. While only the 2 courses will be used, each course will offer different layouts depending on division. See the course layouts info below.
Trophies will be awarded to the 1st place winner in each division.
Pros will receive cash payouts via PayPal.
Ams will receive Player Packs as well as payouts in the form of scrip/store credit to the Pro Shop.
Added cash will be split evenly across ALL Pro divisions.

DIVISIONS:
A wide range of pro and amateur divisions will be offered for this event including mixed, female, and age-based options.
DIVISION CAPS will be adjusted on Friday, Jan 24th to accommodate those who may be on the waitlist. Additional adjustments after that time will be made as necessary in accordance with our ability to fit players on the courses during daylight hours. If you play in an often under-represented division, sign up early and gather other competitors to join you!
If you are on the WAITLIST and a spot opens up, you will be notified by email and will have 72 hours to make payment and complete your registration. If we do not hear from you within this timeframe, your spot will be forfeited and the spot will be offered to the next player in line on the waitlist.

POOLS & LAYOUT ASSIGNMENTS:
Players will compete in 2 rounds across the same course and layout, 1 round per day.
Pool A: MPO, MP40
Pool B: MP50, MA40, MA1
Pool C: MP60, MA50, MA60, MA2, MA3
Pool D: FPO, FP40, FP50, FP60, FA1, FA40, FA50, FA60, FA2, FA3, FA4, FJ15
Pool E: MA4, MJ15
SAT & SUN
Pool A: Gold Course, Gold layout, estimated tee times between 8am - 9:45am
Pool B: Gold Course, Modified layout (short tee on holes 6 & 17), estimated tee times between 10am - 12:15pm
Pool C: Red Course, Red layout, estimated tee times between 8am - 10am
Pool D: Red Course, Queens of Kayak layout (4 short tees), estimated tee times between 10:10am - 12:20pm
Pool E: Red Course, Green layout (9 short tees), estimated tee times between 12:20pm - 1pm (though it could be a bit earlier depending on how well Pools C & D fill).

TEE TIMES:
Players will be grouped onto cards of 4 by division and tee times will be assigned by the TD for each day. Initial tee time assignments will be released about 1 week before the event but there will likely be some minor changes based on dropouts so make sure to confirm your tee time each day. All cards will begin their rounds on hole 1 of their respective courses. Cards will be adjusted for round 2 after round 1 based on round 1 scores.

PLAYER'S PACK:
All AM players will receive a player's pack that includes a custom-stamped disc and a long sleeve 100% polyester performance shirt (Juniors will receive a custom stamped disc). Players must choose their exact shirt size during registration up until Jan 25th. After this, choose your size based on available inventory. Players will get to choose their disc from the options available during player check-in.

PAYOUTS & TROPHIES:
PROS - Cash payouts to the top 45% of each division via PayPal.
AMS - Scrip/store credit to the top 50% of each division to the Kayak Point DGR Pro Shop.
If there is a tie for 1st place in a division and both players are present, a sudden death playoff will be held starting on hole 1 on the course played that day. If both players are not present for the playoff, payouts will be split evenly between those who tied.
Trophies will be awarded to the 1st place winner in each division. If there is a tie for 1st place and a playoff is not completed, players will have to come to an agreement on how best to split the payouts and trophies.

ACE POT:
This event is part of our rolling tournament Ace Pot which grows with each event held until hit, or it reaches the cap of $1,000, at which point a backup ace pot is started. If an Ace is not hit during this event, all Ace Pot funds will continue to roll over into the rolling tournament ace pot or the backup ace pot.

ACE HUNT ON THE PITCH & PUTT:
On Sunday, before 5pm, play a round on the Pitch & Putt Course with a minimum of 2 other participants trying to see how many Aces you can ring up. Take 2 shots off every tee and you can count 2 aces on a single hole if both shots are Aces. Turn in your ace count slip to the Pro Shop after the round and whoever hits the most aces in a single round wins 100% of the payouts (paid via scrip to the Pro Shop). Ties will split. Enter and play as many rounds as you'd like at $5/round. Day-of sign ups also available.

PLAYER CHECK-IN:
Player’s must check-in inside the Clubhouse at least 15-minutes prior to their tee time. Ams can pick up their Player Packs too. Players should also be at the tee for hole 1 a minimum of 5 minutes before their tee time to check-in with the Starter who will make sure cards tee off on time.

PDGA LIVE SCORING:
Scoring will be handled using PDGA Live Scoring. Players will get the passcode during check-in. All players must keep score for everyone on their card, per PDGA rules.

COURSE NOTES:
Red & Gold Course: Players may take up to 2 meters of relief in-bounds where logs that line cart paths hinder a lie or run-up.
Red Course Hole 3: In the event of a lost disc in the creek that crosses the fairway, proceed to the Green Tee with 1 stroke penalty.

FOOD & DRINK:
Outside alcohol and food are prohibited on the property due to our permits with the county & health dept. The Pro Shop has a variety of snacks and drinks including non-alcoholic and alcoholic options. Aces BBQ will also be open for lunch.

GOLF CARTS:
Golf carts will not be available to players during tournament rounds. They will be available for rent to spectators.

Refund policy
Disc Golf Resort LLC is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. All refund requests must be made through discgolfscene.com.
The PDGA's Competition Manual Policy for Withdrawals & Refunds (1.03) will be followed. See below for a quick reference.
Players who officially request to withdraw from the event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus the discgolfscene.com processing fee).
Players who officially request to withdraw from the event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus the discgolfscene.com processing fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, we will provide a 50% monetary refund of their entry fee.
Players who officially request to withdraw from the event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements will receive a 100% cash monetary refund minus the discgolfscene.com processing fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, we will provide a 25% monetary refund.
