About this tournament

For consecutive years in honor of Earth Day Tidewater United is hosting it's monthly tournament and a park cleanup at Monkey Bottom Park. Located at 9625 Mason Creek Road in Norfolk, the park features a unique landscape of sand dunes and old growth oak trees which provide a challenge for players of all skill levels.

Tidewater United is in communication with the City of Norfolk to make this a permanent course. This tournament allows us to set up potential holes and see how they play. More importantly, we demonstrate to the City and surrounding community that disc golfers help the parks that they enjoy. The club will provide trash bags to facilitate the cleanup. Please bring your own gloves and any other supplies such as grabbers, and small pruning shears to clear out invasive vines.

Participation is open to anyone. The registration fee is an optional donation. Registration on DiscGolfScene guarantees you an opportunity to compete for payout and prizes. Players are welcome to play and participate in the cleanup for any or no donation amount, but competition play will be limited to 60 players.

The pop-up course will include twelve holes, played twice for a 24-hole tournament. Pick up trash before, after and during the round to help clean up the park. CTP prizes will be awarded on select holes, as well as for the group that collects the most trash.

If you have a disc golf basket that you can provide for the event, please contact the tournament staff. Thanks.
