Get ready for a true Central Valley disc golf tradition!
Merced Meltdown 2025 returns to beautiful Fahrens Park in Merced, CA, bringing two rounds of classic Central Valley disc golf competition. This event is operated by the Merced Disc Golf Club and proudly sponsored by Sierra Disc Golf Co., following the style and energy of past MDGC events like El Capitan Classic and Locals Only.

FORMAT:
• PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier
• 2 rounds of 18 holes – shotgun start
• All divisions welcome (Pro and Amateur)
• Part of the Cen Cal Series

COURSE:
Fahrens Park Disc Golf Course – a technical and scenic course featuring:
• Tight wooded lines and open bombers
• Rope OBs, technical layout, and elevated pins
• A refined layout prepared specifically for tournament play

OB rules and caddy book will be released before the event.

PLAYER PACKS & PAYOUTS:
Amateur players receive a player pack from Sierra Disc Golf Co.
Pro players compete for PayPal cash payout
Trophies awarded to top finishers in each division

REFUND POLICY:
This event follows the official PDGA Withdrawals & Refunds Policy (1.03):
• 100% refund (minus fees) if requested 30+ days prior to the event
• Partial refund 15-29 days prior (unless your spot is filled)
• No refund within 14 days unless your spot is filled

EVENT UPDATES:
• Tee assignments and digital caddy book will be emailed and posted to the Merced Disc Golf Club Facebook page
• Final details, including player meeting notes, hole rules, and scoring procedures, will be shared in the week prior to the event

• This is a summer event — expect heat! Bring water, shade, and sunscreen.
• Water stations will be available on the course.

Refund policy

Merced Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds and cancellations.

Partial refunds will be given per PDGA requirements (section 1.03, see details below). A $5 fee will be charged all players who withdraw in addition to the percentages below. Please request refunds via the link in your registration email, the withdraw button on the Players tab for the tournament, or via email to the Merced Disc Golf Club Tournament Director at [email redacted]. Refunds requested via the discgolfscene comments, text message, smoke signal, telegraph or other inconvenient method will be charged an additional $5 service fee.

A. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event before July 15th (30 days prior to the event) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee.
B. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event between July 16th to July 30th (15 to 29 days prior to registration closing) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus a $5 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, there will be a 50% monetary refund.
C. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event after July 31st (14 days prior) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus a $5 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled there will be a 25% monetary refund.
D. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to August 14th (when registration closes) forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack.
