sounds reasonable. price difference would be about $65 for 3 cases, or about $55 for 3.5 cases. add in hassle and time saved and the choice is easy.

so for now, we're looking at -

1/2 barrel of founders
5 gal of oberon
case of bud
case of lite
30 of pbr

suggestions are welcome!

I would base it on demand but that with that type of beer there is little benift price wise to go with kegs. espesaly if you not sure your going to kill the keg. And since there is some debate on which light beer to buy. You can have more variety and more control over volume with a case purchase. and with the left overs they are still usable a week latter. with a keg the beer is crap a week latter and you will not want to Waite that long to get back your $30 deposit back. I think two cases would be safe and if I am wrong you can buy bud light across the street if you had to.

so you're just saying that instead of buying a 1/4 barrel of light beer, we should get 3 cases?

if your going to get a non "craft beer" I think Chris has a good point going with cans. I remember at DGLO last year the Bud Light was the last to go if at all. But the famous Todd White home brew (Sierra Nevada clone) was strictly rationed and still went quick. As a matter of fact that clone was so good it inspired me to be a home brewer myself. Disc gofers love there craft beer and for the few that do not get them a couple cases and the will be happy :) There are 82 twelve ounce beer ... more

how many people do you think will actually drink bud/miller light? seems to me that most disc golfers are craft beer fans. i think you will get stuck with a good deal leftover on that 1/4 barrel.
maybe that's the intent, eh??? you closet bud light drinker you.
...just get a case or 30 pack of it. /shrug

ideally we get a 1/2 of founders, 1/4 of some bud/miller light and 5gal of oberon for #13. that should put us right around target for price.

Try Holiday Market in canton. I don't think the price varies too much on these kegs though...

Macarino is definitely a good resource. Thanks for the reminder Mr. Day. I need to touch base with him about beer for Hookahville.
