About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Greetings, and welcome to the inaugural, Meadow Lake Amateur Team Challenge. This will be a 2 round, amateur only, 4-man team event hosted at the beautiful Meadow Lake Park course in Crossville, TN.
Team rating cap of 3680 (920/player). At least 3 of the 4 members of your team must be PDGA current. Any non-current member will count as 920 toward the cap. You cannot be over the cap at the time you register. If your team goes over the cap at a ratings update after you register, then you will still be allowed to play. You must provide at least three team members' PDGA numbers at signups, and the non-current fourth would count 920.
Format:
Round 1- Each 4-man team will break into pairs and proceed to play best-shot doubles. Example: Players A and B pair up, and players C and D pair up. Each pair play best shot doubles. Their combined score will be the team's score for round 1. (A and B shoot 50, C and D shoot 48, Team score for round 1 is 98)
Round 2- Each team will break into pairs again, but the pairs much switch partners. (A with C, and B with D). For round 2, each pair will play straight alternate shot doubles. Both pairs score will be added to the first round scores. All 4 scores will be added to make the team's final score.
Handicap Opportunity:
If your team happens to get 4 players with a team rating of under 3520 (880/person), your team gets a 7 stroke handicap at the beginning of the event. Choose your team wisely
Team entry fee is $120/team and that includes entry, ctps, and ace pot. If ace is not hit, it will be donated to the Crossville DG club.
This is an amateur event. All payouts will be in voucher to ParkIt Disc Golf.
