Max Doubles Fundraiser
About this tournament
They have been working their tails off at Newaygo State Park since the snow
melted. I did a walk through with them today and was astounded to see that they
have 6' x 12' concrete tee pads in place for all 18 holes, and have all but two
sleeves in the ground.
Baskets went in on 4/14/09!. Be advised that the cost to play courses in the State Parks is $6 per day, OR $24 for the yearly pass which allows you to play in any of the 4 courses now in State Parks year 'round. You can bet that if the State shows an increase in yearly passes due to disc golf, they will be adding courses to more and more parks every year!
Please come join us for a special event to kick off the opening of the new
course, and to raise money to help the son of a local disc golfer who has
recently been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.
For $10 you'll get to play doubles with friends on a great new course and be
treated to lunch compliments of Snyder's Market.
Be there to register between 9:30 and 10:00 AM on Sunday, April 19th. And for
those of you who like to camp, you might consider setting up camp in the park
Saturday night! The course circles one of the campgrounds in the park.
Hope to see all of you there. And, if you can't make it, at least help us to
spread the word!!
