This tournament is a memorial for a great friend, Matt Alderson, a disc golfer who loved and hated the game simultaneously!
A friend too many, both on and off the course, he was a long time member of the Stillwater Disc Golf Club and joined the Cushing Disc Golf Club from day one of their beginning. An Alabama native and Auburn alumnus, Matt was a psychology professor at Oklahoma State University. His absolute favorite disc golf
memories were each of those spent with his nephew Maxwell playing disc golf whenever he could.
His bag primarily DD, he never wavered from it. His “Go-To’s” were escapes, Tresspass’s and verdicts… he also stayed loyal to his brick of putters the Vibrams.
Matt will forever be in our hearts and will always be with some of us on the course!
