THIS IS THE 6TH ANNUAL MATHEWS MEMORIAL DAY OPEN
THIS IS A FREE TOURNAMENT (however pre-registration is required)
You can't register on this site because this is a free tournament, you must email, call or visit us in person. The Divisions are different than PDGA Divisions for expediency sake, so please deal with it, remember it's free and "just for the fun of it"
SINGLES – BYOP DOUBLES – FATHER/SON DOUBLES
This year we are adding a Bring Your Own Partner and Father/Son Doubles to the event
SINGLES DIVISIONS WILL BE:
Advanced Men/Women - Experienced Men/Women - Beginner Men/Women - 16 & under Boys/Girls - minimum 3 per division (if you're playing in one of the smaller divisions be sure to get some friends to enter to fill out you division. Format will be an optional two rounds.
DOUBLES: each is 1 division - Combined Score 1st Round - Best Shot 2nd Round
You Must Play Both Rounds to be eligible for an award
This tournament started as a Family Picnic Event and has grown into an annual event honoring Military Service with 72 players in 2015!
The M.M.D.O. is brought to you by Disc Golf Mart in Columbus/Pickerington, Ohio. This is a customer appreciation event, entry is FREE! There will be Trophies and complimentary snacks & beverages. This is a casual event just for the fun of it!
People often ask how to determine their Division, so here it is:
ADVANCED: Tournament Players (PDGA > 875) or have played for # of years and consistently score around 54 at this course.
EXPERIENCED: Tournament players (PDGA < 875) or have played more than 30 rounds and consistently score under 60 or below on this course)
BEGINNER: Never played tournaments and have played less than 30 total rounds and seldom shoot below 65 on this course.
There will be custom Trophies for winners in each of 8 divisions. The field will be limited to 1st 72 players (the event filled in advance in 2014/5). Registration the day of the event will be subject to availability. Details are subject to change at the discretion of the tournament director.
