About this tournament
1 round of play
This is a fun, non-sanctioned official MVP Space Race. There will be 2 discs in the player's pack, an Eclipse MVP Hex, and an Eclipse Streamline Pilot.
Player pack discs are the only discs allowed to be used during the round.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place along with MANY other prizes throughout free with your entry fee. The registration is in 4 divisions solely for X-Tier registration requirements. This has nothing to do with prizes at all.
For this event, we will be playing 9 holes and those holes will be from the closest tee of the next hole to the basket of the previous hole (eg. Closest tee pad of 2 to 1's basket, and the closest tee pad of 3 to 2's basket). This makes every hole a very short distance as the only way to score points in this tournament is by hitting metal, hitting chains, or acing the hole. 1 point will be awarded for any metal hit, 3 points for hitting chains, and 5 points will be awarded for an ace. No need to finish out the hole after the drive, as points can ONLY be scored on drives. Forget everything you ever learned about disc golf for this round and run every hole! You will get 2 throws for every hole using the 2 discs that came in your player's pack.
This event is GREAT for brand new players and will get you 2 discs that you can immediately start playing with. I will have prizes for many of the players, and possibly even a raffle if we get enough people to register!
(The park we are using does require external liability insurance, so this event is an XC-Tier but will NOT be rated. I have setup the MPO, FPO, MA1, and FA1 divisions solely so I can meet PDGA X-Tier requirements. What division you are in plays NO part in the actual tournament. It is strictly so that I might be able to properly insure this event though the PDGA.)
