    Rounds 1 and 2. All players must check in at tourney central at the group shelter near Buccaneer at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee time.

    Round 1 for B Pool will be on Ponderosa (A Pins) with tee times beginning at 8:30 AM.

    Round 1 for A Pool will be on Buccaneer with tee times beginning at 9:30 AM.

    Each card will receive at least one hour for lunch following the completion of their first round.

    Round 2 for B Pool will be on Buccaneer.

    Round 2 for A Pool will be on Ponderosa (A Pins).

About this tournament

Welcome to the 2025 Makoshika Open!

This event is the finale for the Badlands Disc Golf Tour as well as the last event on the Montana Points Series prior to the Montana State Championships.

All competitors will play 3 rounds over 2 days at Makoshika State Park. On Saturday, all competitors will play 1 round on Buccaneer Flats and 1 round on Ponderosa Pines (A pins). On Sunday, A Pool will play Ponderosa Pines (B pins), while B Pool will play at Buccaneer Flats. Juniors will play 1 round on Buccaneer Flats each day.

All 3 rounds will be using tee times. On Saturday, cards will remain the same for both rounds for ease of scheduling lunch times. Round 3 on Sunday will then be re-flighted based on score. With one of the upper parking lots being closed from the fire earlier this year, this format will help alleviate excessive walking to starting holes.

All amateurs will receive player pack discs. There will be no trophies for the event as those funds have instead been allotted towards larger payouts. There will, however, be awards for the Badlands Tour winners.

A Pool: MPO, MP40, MP50, MA1

B Pool: MA40, MA2, MA3, FA1

The tournament is again being held in conjunction with the Makoshika Music & Arts Festival. There will be music and activities available all day on Saturday that the whole family can enjoy. Food vendors will also be available to purchase lunch that day.

**Primitive first come first serve camping is back OPEN! In particular the group site near hole 4 of the upper course can be shared by up to 16 people. Those that all choose to stay there can work together to pay the fee for the site.
