Thank you for your interest in our 4th annual Mark Smerczynski Memorial @ Griggs (& Hoover). Our friend Mark left us way too soon, sadly. We miss & honor him by throwing this celebratory event, as his home was across the street from Disc Golf Mart. He loved throwing his Polecat with us & we loved that we got to know him & have such good memories. We hope that you use this as an opportunity to reflect on your favorite people & your favorite memories at these Iconic Central Ohio Courses.
We are excited to be doing a BYOP this year, as we loving playing doubles! We are very proud at how many people have played an ODC event as their 1st tournament & a BYOP is the perfect way to introduce new people into competitive play. We will be awarding an extra $500 in cash &/or prizes as each division winner will receive a minimum of $100 as well as custom trophies.
Registration, Player Pack Pick Up & Round 1 will all be @ Brent Hambrick Memorial DCG @ Hoover.
Registration will by @ the Pavilion by Holes 14, A & I hosted by Tom West & the Olentangy Disc Club.
The free Ring of Fire putting contest will be @ hole 5's Pedestal Basket.
Both rounds will be 18 holes, using the Classic ODC Tournament UDisc lay out
All players will tee from 3 Long to 5's Pedestal Basket & from 4 Long to 6's Basket. Holes A & I will be added.
Both rounds will be the best shot scramble format & divisions go by the higher rated of the 2 teammates.
Standard Out of Bounds, Roads/Paths/Culvert & beyond all OB. 3's Hill plays as hazard (stroke penalty).
Round 2 & the awards ceremony will be @ Griggs the Classic Travel League UDisc lay out.

We will combine smaller divisions if needed.
Rolling Ace Fund is over $200.
We will be playing one round @ Hoover & one @ Griggs, 18 holes at each course. Everyone will play the shorts so we can compare apples to apples.
All players will receive an event disc & a club or previous event disc or t-shirt, so you already get your entrance money back in merch before you tee off. We will have some cash & merch prizes along with some really cool trophies as usual. We will also have a CTP contest, our Raffle & Rolling Ace Fund. If you don't have a rating & you play a bunch, please pick the appropriate division based upon your skill level vs your peers. We had a low division winner shoot -16 @ Blendon Woodstock, those guys are clearly baggers & should have played the high division. Don't be baggers!
