The Motor City Chain Gang's 19th Annual Discraft Ace Race
Sadly, Discraft is not hosting any Ace Races for 2022.
We will however be hosting one anyways.
Here is what every player will receive for their entry:
1 Shirt - you pick from our inventory
1 Premium Plastic Buzzz - you pick from a stack. Some ESP with matching mini, the rest either ESP, Z, or Cryztal - all of the discs are un-thrown and have been boxed / collector kept.
1 Discraft Buzzz towel (yellow)
1 Discraft Water Bottle
Discraft Sticker and Pencil
The MCCG Discraft Ace Race grand prize is a Chainstar Lite.
You can use for one of your own discs for the Ace Race. It has to be a putter and it is the only disc you can use the entire round.
For Juniors and Ladies who cannot throw a putter 100', fear not, they can use another disc but again, that disc has to be used for the entire round.

2 Rounds of 18 holes at Raintree.
Because Raintree is a 9 hole course we will play 4 rounds of 9 holes.
One throw per hole per player!
The most Aces on our modified course wins!

$35 for those who register on the day of the event but we cannot promise there will be packages available.
Registration begins at 11:00 am. - ends at High Noon

Course layout: We have been fine-tuning Raintree for years specifically for this event. Our layout is very fair for players of all calibers. C'mon out, you will have a blast!
YOU MUST PREPAY TO BE SURE YOU ARE IN THE EVENT!
Rules of play: You can choose one of your own discs but you must throw that one disc the entire event. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of choosing a second disc from the bag or borrow one from another player. Only one throw per player per hole. All groups will have a scorecard and mark "A" for aces (a hole-in-one) and "M" for holes on when someone hits metal.
After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. We use an alternating tee box meaning if you tee off first on one hole you move to last on the next and the person who threw 2nd behind you now throws 1st. The same rotating format follows each hole thereafter.
The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.
We have had huge crowds in the past but the event flows very smooth and is over in a blink of an eye. We started hosting this event in 2007 and it continues to be a super-fun event.
Prize package:
Grand prize is a Discraft Chainstar Lite. Events are also encouraged to offer an optional cash side pot for those who wish to participate, which is divided proportionally among the number of aces and/or metal hits.
We have very unique prizes for not winning so be sure to post up if you will be providing a prize and for what the prize will be given for.
The MCCG will donate 1 prize for the 1st Ace Hit.
I will donate a prize for the most metals w/out an Ace.
