About this tournament

Lowcountry Disc Golf is happy to bring you something we’ve been wanting to do for a few years.
Match Play
Match play is one of our favorite formats to play.
It’s pretty simple.
There’s 18 holes.
Each hole = 1 point
Total points = 18
The person with the most points wins.
So, if someone wins 10 holes, and therefore has 10 points, they win the match.
You get 1 point for winning the hole, and 1/2 point for a tie.
Here’s how we’re going to do it.
Registration will be opened until Thursday, October 1st , 7:00 PM.
The player bracket will be posted on Friday, October 2nd.
The first matches can begin starting Saturday, October 3rd.
The last matches must be finished by Sunday, November 29.
You will have 1 week to play your match.
You will have to get up with the player who you are matched with and determine when and where you will play.
One of you will send in a message to let me know when and where you will play.
After you play, the winning player will send a message stating that they have won.
The players who win their first week matches will then be matched up for the 2nd week matches.
The length of the tournament will be determined by how many people sign up to play.
Here’s what it’s going to cost you, and what you’re going to get for your hard earned money.
It’s going to cost you $10 to play.
Here’s how your $10 is going to be spent…
40 % = $4.00 goes to 1st Place
25% = $2.50 goes to 2nd Place
15%. = $1.5 goes to 3rd Place
5% = .50 goes to 4th Place
15% = $1.5 goes to the House
The winner of this tournament will not only be winning 40% of all the money, but as the 2026 Match Play Champion , they will also win a free entry into the Hampton Park Tournament.
That tournament will be on December 5-6 in beautiful Downtown Charleston at the historic Hampton Park.
