About this tournament

@ Lowcountry Disc Golf, we’ve had a good year.
Our goal has been, and continues to be, to bring you Fun and Affordable events , and to do so in the most positive and welcoming manner as possible.
We are only able to do what we do because you fine folks keep showing up for us and supporting us.

Now as 2025 comes to an end, we want to say “Thank you “.
And how do you say “Thank you” to a bunch of people who like to get together and play disc golf ?
Well, you throw yourself a disc golf party and invite everyone to come out and join in.
And what if those folks are used to playing in one of the best weekly dubs event around ?
Well then, I guess you make it a double.

So here we go folks.
For the last hoorah of the year.
Let’s get down with some Ranked Dubs.
Just like we’ve done before, you sign up individually.
Partners will be assigned after registration closes the night before the tournament.
Lower rated players will be paired up with higher rated players to help keep the field even and competitive.

And where shall we have this great year end dubs tournament , you ask.
Park Circle would seem the obvious choice, except for the Christmas lights that replace the baskets for a couple of months during the Christmas Season.
So, I say then that we open things up a bit and go to Old Grove, AKA Mullet Hall.

This is going to be a sanctioned tournament, so all PDGA rules will apply.
If you’re not a current member with the PDGA, it will cost you $15 to play in this event.

You will notice that the registration schedule is separated into 6 different groups.
Everyone fits into at least 1 of those 6 groups.

Group 1 - The 1st to “Bring it in !’’
You are in this group if you ran the most bad ass weekly dubs tournament around.
Also, your name is probably Alex.
Just a guess.

Group 2 - The 2nd group to ‘’Bring it in !’’
You are in this group if you ran a disc golf tournament, or league for your local community this year.
Whether you ran it in Charleston, Sumter, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, Hilton Head, Savannah, ect. , doesn’t matter where you’re from.
If you ran an event, you’re in this group.

Group 3 - The 3rd group to “Bring it in !’’
You’re in this group if you worked on helping to maintain our local courses this year.
Nothing says ‘’I love disc golf ‘’ more than helping to maintain your local courses.
If you worked on a local course this year, you’re in this group.

Group 4 - The 4th group to ‘’Bring it in !’’
Did you attend a local event this year ?
Did you support a local tournament, league, or special event ?
If you did, then you’re in this group.

Group 5 - The 5th group to ‘’Bring it in !’’
Did you help out somehow in your local disc golf community ?
Did you try to do something to help make things better for someone else ?
Did you give a new player a disc ?
Help someone find a lost disc ?
Let a solo player play through your group of 8 ?
If so, then you’re in this group.

Group 6 - The 6th group to ‘’Bring it in !’’
I know what you’re probably thinking now.
You’re thinking that you didn’t do any of that stuff.
You didn’t know it took work.
You thought all these wonderful courses and events just magically showed up out of nowhere.
Well, if this is you, then you’re in this group.
(Next year, try to be in a different group)
Still love you though, so come on out and play with us.
