This tournament will be the 4th event of the 2026 California Disc Golf Series. Every A,B or C tier tournament ran by LMDGC and LADGC will be included in the 2026 Series. In November the series will conclude with the Throwvember event. The top points earning players in each division (approx. 5%) will be invited to our Invitational Championship happening December 12th & 13th. When are tee times or starting holes posted?
Tee times or starting holes are posted Wednesday night before the tournament. Finalized tee times are posted Friday night before the event. This is to remove or add players to the tournament.
Can I request to play with a friend?
You are always welcome to request to play with a friend. Please keep in mind for tournaments with tee times you must be in the same division to play with each other. All request are not guaranteed.
How does the California Disc Golf Series points structure work?
Players will receive 5 points for each series event that they participate in. In each tournament, you will get 1 point for each position in your division that you finish ahead of (excluding players you tie with). For example, if you place 7th in a field of 30 players, you will receive the 5 points for playing as well as 23 additional points for the players you finished ahead of totaling 28 points. There will also be bonus points awarded in each division for the top 5 placing finishers. 1st place will get a 5 point bonus, 2nd place will get a 4 point bonus, 3rd place will get a 3 point bonus, 4th place will get a 2 point bonus and 5th place will get a 1 point bonus. Points can be earned at each CDGS tournament from the first event, La Mirada Membership Drive until the final qualifying series event, Throwvember. Points and standings will be updated and shared after each series event.

When are points updated?
Points are updated the following weekend from the last event. Unless there are back to back tournaments.
Do I need to be a PDGA member to qualify?
No. – However, there are only 3 C-tier events in the series that do not require PDGA membership. You will need to be a PDGA member to participate in events that are B-tier & higher.
What is the 2026 California Disc Golf Series Invitational Championship?
Approximately the top 5% - 10% of the field in each division will qualify for the CDGS invitational Championship taking place at La Mirada Regional Park on Sunday, December 14, 2025. If you make the cut after the Throwvember event, you’ll receive an invite to register for the Championship on discgolfscene.com. Ties for the last spot to make the cut will both be invited. This 1 day / 2 round PDGA sanctioned event will feature a unique course design only played for this tournament. CDGS staff throughout the season will be entered into the Championship
What are the prizes of the Invitational Championship?
For the 2025 season we gave out $14k in AM prizes and $3k in cash payouts to pros for the Invitational Championship. We have one more event for 2026 season and hoping to attract more players which one increase payouts in both AM and Pro.
What tournaments qualify for the 2026 California Disc Golf Scene?
Our list of tournaments are at the top of this description. All tournaments ran by Los Angeles Disc Golf Club and La Mirada Disc Golf club will qualify with the exception of La Mirada Turkey Shoot (doubles event).
