About this tournament
The Lone Star Disc Jones (East) Flex Friday event is one of two events being offered as a preview for the 2023 Handeye Classic B-Tier event on October 14, 2023 located at Jones Park in Emporia KS. There will also be the Lone Star Disc Jones (West) Flex Friday event (held on the same day) for an opportunity to preview Jones West. Check discgolfscene.com for details and sign up.
ALL AMATEUR Participants RECEIVE a CHOICE of ONE special stamped DISC from Flight by Faith Disc Golf inventory.
TEE OFF Anytime between 9AM - 5PM
Tournament Central and Check-In Location:
- Look for the Lone Star Disc Tents in the middle of Jones Park by the playground and restrooms, in between Jones West 18th tee and Jones East 13th basket.
Players MUST Check-In at Tournament Central before they begin play!
Layout:
- Jones West is the course for this event and will be using the 2023 Handeye Classic layout for your specific division.
OB and Course Notes:
- Event OBs will be listed with the PDGA live scoring and OB paint lines or any "Drop Zones" will be marked properly. The Tournament Director will also provide specific "Course Notes" during Check-In.

Process of Play:
- There MUST be a minimum of 3 participants per card and no more than 5.
- Please be mindful of the pace of place, if your group is playing slow, please allow faster groups to play through.
- This is a PDGA sanctioned event and PDGA rules will be enforced
- On low visibility or "blind holes", please use someone from the group to be a "spotter" so discs are easily located and discs are not thrown into the group ahead.
Entry Fee Breakdown:
Amateur-
- $17 (player pack disc, retail value $20)
- $3 (PDGA fees, Event Insurance fees)
Professional-
- $17 (to payout)
- $3 (PDGA fees, Event Insurance fees)
Optional Ace Pot*:
- If an ace is hit with a Lone Star Disc, participant will receive $500. If multiple aces are hit using a Lone Star Disc, participants will split the $500 ace pot.
- If an ace is hit using a different manufacturers disc, the ace pot collected for the day will be paid.
- If two aces are hit, one with a Lone Star disc and one with a different manufacturers disc, $500 goes to Lone Star Disc ace and the ace pot collected for the day will be paid to the other ace.
It is up to the TD if any other scenario takes place regarding ace pot payout.
If no ace is hit, there be no throw off. Funds will go towards future ace pots offered by Flight by Faith events.
Payouts:
- Professional Divisions payouts will be through PayPal. Please insure the email address given during registration is the correct PayPal address for payout.
Trophies:
- Only 1st place finishers receive a trophy
- Trophies will be distributed on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at the Lone Star Disc vending booth.
- Participants wishing to have their trophy shipped are responsible for the shipping costs.
*Divisions must have a minimum of 3 competitors to receive a trophy
