About this tournament
1 round of play
This will be the first tournament played at Little Oaks! It is an unsanctioned BYOP doubles tournament. We currently host the Capital City Flyers Doubles League each month, and are excited to open the course up to a wider audience for this special event! If you haven't heard of or played this course yet, type "Little Oaks" into the 'Find course or location' section in UDisc, or you can learn more about it here - https://sacaa.org/disc-golf/
This fundraiser tournament (with an optional pancake breakfast!) will be trophy only to the winners of each division so that the money can be used to purchase much needed PE supplies and musical instruments for school kids in Juliaca, Peru and Mwami, Zambia. These specific locations have been chosen by a local organization called Maranatha Volunteers International, who our school has partnered with, to send volunteers that will construct school buildings, host free medical & dental clinics, and do a children's ministry there. Several staff members from Sacramento Adventist Academy will be going to Peru and Zambia this summer to help buy and deliver the above mentioned items. You can learn more about the Peru trip here - https://maranatha.org/projects/tgid3427/ and the Zambia trip here - https://maranatha.org/projects/tgid3428/
Buy raffle tickets when you register here and/or bring cash to purchase tickets for the chance to win prizes that include a brand new custom-built electric guitar from our very own woodshop!
We hope players of all ages and experience levels can come enjoy our fun and challenging 18 hole course! This fundraiser is to benefit kids, so it would be awesome to see lots of juniors come out, whether they are partnered with another junior or with an adult! We might have some special prizes for kids that come too!
This is an unsanctioned event, yet we will be adhering to all regular PDGA rules and guidelines for play. Our property is an alcohol & drug free school campus. Rules for the course will be gone over during the players meeting before the round begins.
If you want to play the course before the tournament, I will have it open for play on Friday, March 27, from 3-7pm. Otherwise, see you on Sunday, March 29, around 8am!!
