For many years, Leos Jack Lowe and Dick Parker had a little birthday party celebration and disc golf event called Lion's Den Open. Well, Jack and Dick have retired from the party business, and now Anna Hare (another Leo) is leading the way and having a party to celebrate the Leos in our lives!

Lion's Gate Portal will have disc golf, mini disc golf, music (not live, unlike the famed LDO), a putting competition and plenty of fun for all at beautiful Rosedale Park (up top).

Unlike LDO, the LGP will be a PDGA sanctioned event with a player pack (an Innova event stamped disc - guaranteed for first 120 Ams to sign up) and an additional option if you'd like an event stamped shirt.

You might event glimpse Jack and Dick as they skulk about, playing the league that doesn't exist Down Under the same day. Shhhh.

Details:

Player pack - Innova Champion Disc (premium plastic) - guaranteed for first 120 Ams to sign up

Layout - the Veteran baskets will be used. The course will be a mix of short, middle, and long pin placements with one "safari" hole (5 pad to 6 basket tbd), and hole 8 will be split into two holes. OB will be traditional OB rules. Hole 11 will have a mandatory RIGHT.

Amateur Payout - Duck's Flying Discs - Kansas City, valid through December 1, 2023. Amateur payout will be posted to Disc Golf Scene (this page) after the event ends, and will be available starting August 6, 2023.

Professional Payout - choose your payout method when you register.

Trophies will be available for the winner of each division that has three or more participants, available at Duck's Flying Discs - Kansas City (or we will get the trophy to you).
