On February 9th, 2023, harford county suddenly lost a great teacher and father. Ron Sadtler taught health and physical education for 30 years in harford county public schools - most notable lisby hillsdale in Aberdeen where he created this years beneficiary, the hoppin hawks jump rope club.
His teaching continued until retirement at age 59, from north harford middle school. An avid hiker, biker, fisherman, snowboarder, skier, carpenter, fitness fanatic and volleyball coach, there’s no doubt his love for disc golf remained steady over the years as well. Since he introduced his students and children to the wonderful sport, his family finds it fitting to hold this memorial tournament each year with hopes to keep Rons spirit alive, share memories together, and enjoy a respite in the great outdoors!
