2 rounds of play
Two rounds of 19 holes at Johnson Hills - one from the shorts, one from the longs, for two different round ratings. PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier. Check-in will start at 8:00 am and end at 8:55 am. Round One begins at 9 am. Expect an hour for lunch. Round Two should begin at or before 1 pm assuming all goes to plan. Anticipated ending between 4 pm and 5 pm. No days off at Johnson Hills!
Note: MJ/FJ10 and under will only play the first round, teeing off at 9 AM.
Layout Information
-There are 19 holes in this layout. There is a Temp Hole, Hole 19, to be played after Hole 18 (see note below about a second temp hole). Round One is played from the short tee pads where applicable; Round Two is played from the long tee pads where applicable.
-Temp Hole 19 has two painted tee pads, a left and a right. The left tee pad is used round one, the right tee pad is used round two. Both tee pads measure 623 feet to the pin; it is a par four. There will be OB right, left, and long as flagged. Have fun, this should be a really nice hole with a bunch of different shot shapes required in order to score.
Note: This tournament was always advertised as a 19 hole tournament. Earlier this week, I painted a 20th hole to go between 9 and 10 just to see what it would look like, and I did add it to this page for a couple days. However, when originally conceiving this tournament I had specifically made the decision not to include this hole. I'm making the executive decision to revert back to the originally advertised plan, the plan that was advertised for all but maybe two days of registration, and will only offer the 20th hole if somehow tournament registration magically exceeds 72 within the next 36 hours. I apologize for any confusion this causes. The 19th hole will play as a truly great par four in my opinion, achievable but challenging for all skill levels.
PRIZING AND PAYOUT INFORMATION
-Pro payouts are top 40% of each division in the form of PayPal deposit
-Amateur divisions will receive their choice between a Latitude 64 Opto Ballista Pro and an Opto Fuse (MSRP $18.90) as well as a prize payout to the top 45% of each division in the form of merchandise vouchers, for a total amateur payout of $33.90 per player.
Available on site this weekend will be: Discmania, Discraft, Dynamic, Latitude 64, and Kastaplast, as well as No Days Off branded apparel
-The PDGA has specified tournament presentation rules for 2025. Divisions will be awarded trophies based on the number of registrants for each division on Monday, 31 March, as follows:
One registrant: No trophy required
Two to four registrants: 1st place only
Five to 12 registrants: 1st and 2nd place
13 or more registrants: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
-CTP and Aces will be paid by the end of the day. If no aces are hit, half the pot rolls over to the next tournament and half rolls over into a donation to the GCDGA (pays when the ace is hit on behalf of the player). Ace fund is $3, cash on site, and there is no carryover from last week thanks to Ben Flores.
IMPORTANT NOTES AND NEW RULES FOR 2025
-Beginning in 2025, players are now permitted to take picture and/or video and submit it to the tournament director or other tournament official for review with issues pertaining to course markings ONLY. Photo and/or video evidence continues to be acceptable for submission for review with issues pertaining to player misconduct (cheating, substance use, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc.).
-The Tournament Director must continue to enforce the PDGA's substance use policy including use of alcohol
-Reminder that all players must keep score for all players on their card. If at any time you become unable to keep an electronic scorecard, contact the Tournament Director for a paper scorecard. Failure to turn in a completed and correct electronic or paper scorecard within 30 minutes of the completion of your round results in a two stroke penalty for the round.
-Please be respectful of the local neighbors and wildlife by not littering
-Pass Through Fees as specified by the PDGA are as follows: $3 PDGA Fee; $3 Tournament Director Fee. All other funds are used for Professional and Amateur payouts.
-See the Refunds Policy for detailed information regarding refunds
Note: MJ/FJ10 and under will only play the first round, teeing off at 9 AM.
