About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This event is a fundraiser for the LSU Disc Golf Club. We will playing the college disc golf team format for two rounds. The college disc golf format requires teams of four. Team rounds are played with two sets of teammates, one ODD pair, one EVEN pair. The ODD pair will tee off on every odd-numbered hole, while the EVEN pair tees off on every even-numbered hole. After the tee shots, the team chooses which of the two lies to play. From there, the pair that did not tee throws their two shots. Again, the whole team decides which lie to play from and the pair that tee'd off would throw. That alternating process continues until the hole is complete. On the next hole, the corresponding pair of teammates according to the hole number, ODD or EVEN, would tee off no matter which pair putt out on the previous hole. This format allows for each player to tee off the same amount of times and for teams to play as a whole. Each hole has two teams playing together as an eight-some.
For women’s division, female players will engage in regular doubles play with a partner.
Round one for MPO and MA1 will be played on the purple layout, and round two will be played on the gold layout.
FPO will be playing purples twice.
The MPO division is for teams of higher skill levels that are looking for the highest level of competition at this event. The MA1 division is designed for teams that may not be the most skillful and looking to have a fun tournament in a division with even-leveled competition. There are no rating caps or requirements for which division you sign your team up in, we just ask that you do your best assessing your team's overall skill and sign up in the division that best matches your level.
Scoring will be kept on UDisc. All players must check into the two UDisc events, LSU Fundraiser Round One AND LSU Fundraiser Round Two. One person per card will keep official scoring while another person takes backup scoring unless cards are composed of multiple divisions in which case teams will keep the other team's score. Teams can be formulated while creating the scorecard by selecting all players on the team.
50% of registration fees will go toward the LSU team and 50% of registration fees will go toward payout.
(Final note)
The park is not reserved for the event, so be courteous to other golfers and allow them to play through.
