About this tournament

1 round (18 holes) of best shot BYOP doubles! We'll be playing strictly from the white tees. Payouts will be cash for Pros, LIDG bucks for Ams. Please arrive early to get set up before sundown. We will begin promptly at 8:30 pm. Be prepared for a late night. Glow events often run past midnight.

For the uninitiated, I've put together a brief FAQ for glow events. If your question is unanswered, feel free to ask in the comments!

1. Do I need to have a bag full of glow discs?

You do not! Another option, that's often preferred, is to tape small, battery powered LED lights to your preferred discs. This can often be better than using glow discs, as the glow fades while the lights do not. See the following link for an example of these lights, or search "disc golf led lights" for other places to purchase: https://www.dynamicdiscs.com/disc-golf-light-led-beacon-night-glow-2-pack-p/4521.htm?gc[…]6eHn1p8HoPyj62WvEGYf_iIwcIjMBo6rvtOudJSB2OtLxoClNwQAvD_BwE

Lights will be provided as part of your entry fee, however we encourage players to provide their own supplies if they anticipate needing a large number of discs.

2. How will we be able to see the basket?

We'll be placing lights on all the baskets, so this will not be an issue. We will be reaching out for volunteers to complete this task, so we encourage you to earn yourself some course karma by coming out and lending a hand.

3. How can I make my discs glow?

We recommend purchasing a UV flashlight. They're cheaper than a new disc, and they work extremely well in keeping your disc glowing for an extended period. The larger the flashlight, the better.

4. Can I use a flashlight to play?

We prefer that flashlights are not used, or use is extremely limited. Our eyes adjust to the night, and the use of a flashlight will actually make finding discs more difficult. In other words, PLEASE DO NOT USE A REGULAR FLASH LIGHT. You will not receive a positive reception from other players if you choose to do so.
