Kayak Point DGR Intro to Disc Golf Clinic #5

Welcome to clinics at Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort! The Intro to Disc Golf session is perfect for the beginner to intermediate player (throwing roughly 300 ft or less) and will cover all of the basics you need to know to get a proper start in the sport!

Loaner discs are included in the clinic, but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have some.

Youth under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult!

The clinic will run from 1 - 2:30 PM and will cover the following topics.

Throwing:
-Grip
-Throwing Technique (Standstill and X-Step)
-Angle control

Putting:
-Grip
-Technique (Push and Spin Putt)
-Footwork (Straddle and Staggered)

Discs:
-Disc Selection
-Disc Types

Etiquette/Rules:
-Rules of Disc Golf
-Tournament (sanctioned) Play
-Event Types/Community

After the clinic, any discs and accessories purchased in the pro shop are 10% off, and you can also buy a discounted Day pass ($12) if you would like to play one of our full length courses.
