About this tournament

The Kanawha Valley Freeze Out Hunger 2026 (CEP Charity - Not Rated) Event is an annual fundraiser event which assists local food-insecure elementary school students and families. For 2026, The Kanawha Valley Freeze Out Hunger is a PDGA XC-Tier Event!! All proceeds will go to the "Feed My Sheep" Program!

Format:
- 1 Round of 18 holes - Max 4 Players per hole
- Walk on(s) welcome
- There will be no players meeting, just check in and go to assigned holes.
Players Pack:
- Long Sleeve T-Shirt. (Design by "KP" (Kris Plona).
Mulligans:
Mulligans can be purchased for fundraising purposes. $1.00 per mulligan and $20.00 Max for the event. Each mulligan purchased will enter you into the raffle. (example - $15- equals 15 raffle tickets). All mulligans will be registered on back of the foursomes scorecard. Mulligans can be purchased day of event or can be pre-purchased in sets of $5 on the registration form. The raffle will be done on Friday night and you can (will) pick up your prize(s) before the event starts.

This event has been Approved by the PDGA as a CEP Charity - Not Rated Event.
As specified by PDGA:
Charity
$50 Sanctioning Fee as normal
$50 Certificate of Insurance as normal (if needed)
$3 PDGA per player fee is donated to the event charity and must be matched by the event.
In addition to the matched $3 PDGA per-player fee, at least 25% of the remaining net entry fees must also be donated to event charity.
The TD treats the per-player donation amount as a pass-through fee ("Other Fees") in Tournament Manager and must clearly advertise the donation amount on the event's registration page prior to registration opening.
$15 temporary membership fee is waived or may be charged by the TD and also donated to the event charity.
Event charity must be a 501(c)(3) entity in the United States or a Canadian charity, national arts service organization (NASO), or a Canadian amateur athletic association (CAAA).
Unratable Non-Standard Rules (not ratable). These are events with non-standard rules that go beyond a simple waiver, such as throw-and-distance penalties or mulligans. Any non-standard rules must be pre-approved by the PDGA Director of Event Support who will work with the Tournament Director to make sure the non-standard rules can be rated if at all possible. See the Use of Non-Standard Rules at PDGA-Sanctioned Events document for more details.
