About this tournament

LAYOUT UPDATE:
Monarch will be a mostly unique layout, caddie book to follow early next week. OB will be B-B for MA1, MP50, MP40, and MPO. Y-Y,Y-B,Y-B in a cycle for all other divisions. One special new tee pad at OB that I don't want to post here.

Please join us for the 1st event put on by FlipUp Productions, KALEIDOSCOPE ‘23!
2 Days, 2 Rounds, 2 Courses. We’re putting San Leandro on display the weekend of July 8th and 9th by playing one round each at Oyster Bay and Monarch!

Lots to love about this event. Leonard Muise of Whirlwind fame will have his store out at the event, and will be creating the layouts for each course. Added cash for the Pro side, and a gorgeous full color Bask towel with the tournament logo on it for the Ams side player pack ($25 retail value). We will have a vendor row where you can check out some great local businesses (let us know if you would like to sponsor the event and have space at the tournament). And even kaleidoscopes as trophies!

We have amazing artwork supplied by Enero (https://www.instagram.com/rapletters) which will be on our stamped discs presented by Infinite Discs. These discs are tournament fundraisers, and the proceeds from their sale will go to the payouts and to help make this a VERY successful event! Please consider buying one to help us out! ~Registration Schedule~
Sunday May 14th, 2023 @ 8pm - Early registration: Female Players, Tee Sign Sponsorships, and Highly Rated Pros
Sunday May 21st, 2023 @ 8PM - Open Registration

~Transparency in Player Cost~
There will be pass through fees for this event. Of a players net entry fee:
$31 for Facility Fees (Renting Monarch, EBRPD Permitting Fees)
$2 is PDGA Fees
$2 is TD Fees
$25 is Players Packs (ams only)
The rest of the entry fee will be going towards payouts for Pros and Script for AMs

Script for Ams will be handled by Whirlwind Disc Golf, who will be on site.

~Making Space for Women~
Women will have access to early registration, as well as a $10 discount on both the Pro and Ams side (compared to the Mixed registration Fee)

~Use of Limited Exceptions~
Our team will ensure that the use of limited exceptions (hole sponsorships & volunteers) meet the criteria and intent established by 1.02 in the PDGA competition manual. The number of players gaining entry into the event using these exceptions will not exceed 33% of the field or 50% of any given division.

To make sure we abide by PDGA guidelines on early registration, caps are currently set to 1/2 of the total for some divisions and will expand after the early registration period.

All players must be current PDGA members for 2023, or pay an additional $10 non-member fee.
