About this tournament

Hello All,
This is a 2 Round Doubles Tournament taking place at Highland Park in Attleboro. This is a pop-up disc golf event permitted by the City of Attleboro. This is a fundraising event to permanently install a disc golf course at Highland Park. The concept of disc golf at Highland Park has been put in front of the Parks Commission so we now view this as a crucial step towards the goal of full approval for a disc golf course on the property. Myself, Spencer Lynds, along with course designer Harry Chace, will use the funds generated to put towards course design and infrastructure. All information regarding where and how these funds are being used will be made publicly available through Facebook (Jewelry City Disc Golf Course). If a course development effort is unsuccessful, I will be personally pursuing refunds for all those participants I can track down. There will be the ability to donate more if you so choose (this is greatly appreciated). I will be posting all notable milestones with the development of this course on Facebook.

With the introduction out of the way, these are the details for the tournament itself:
A two round doubles tournament taking place on October 20, 2024. This is a BYOP, unsanctioned, best shot doubles event. The $100 sign up breaks down like this: $60 to the course and expenses, $40 to payouts. Payouts will be made to the top 40% in each division of which there are currently 3: Mixed (1 MPO/MA player and 1 FPO/FA or youth player), PRO, and AM. More divisions will be added based on any feedback requesting more divisions.
Check-In's will start at 8 AM.
A players meeting will be held at 9 AM where rules will be discussed. Cards will be sent out at 9:15 AM. Round 1 starts at 9:30 sharp.
I am working on potentially having a food truck or 2 on-site if enough folks sign-up, as well as potentially a $10 cash buy-in distance competition. Details of the event will be clarified here and on Facebook as the event takes shape.
Round 2 will start at 1:30 PM.
Following the second round, awards will be handed out and prizes will be raffled off. CTP's will be detailed the day of the event.
For the raffle, we are doing things a little differently. In order to enter the raffle you must provide a receipt for any purchase made in the City of Attleboro during the pop-up weekend (Oct. 18-20th). Write your name and number on the back of the receipt; this is your raffle ticket. You do not need to participate in the doubles tournament to enter the raffle.
Course details will be provided 24 hours prior to the event and on the event day.
