The BDGA and Greg Rickert invite you to help honor and raise money for the Jake Rickert Legacy Fund. Jake was one of our own and has been truly missed by so many in the Lexington and surrounding disc golf family. We will be taking day of signups, so if you plan to play, please arrive early enough so we can get you signed up. Join us on October 6th, 2024 at 9 A.M. for an unsanctioned 2 round event that will feature the following: 1) a morning singles round and 2) an afternoon doubles round, where your partner will be randomly selected. We will use a randomizer to select your partner on Saturday night after registration has closed. Partners and hole assignments will be posted via ScorePointe, 30 minutes prior to Rd 2.In the event, we have an uneven # of players and their needs to be a Mully designated, that player will also be randomly chosen as well. This player will get 1 extra stroke per hole and will get 2 extra strokes on Hole 15.

The first 36 players to register will receive a custom Jake Rickert Legacy commemorative disc as a part of your players pack. You will have a choice between 2 different designs. Players who register after the 1st 36 will have an option to purchase a set of two of this discs for $15. All Proceeds will be donated to the Jake Rickert Legacy Fund.

Ace Pot and 50/50 CTP will be MANDATORY items with the sole intent to raise as much money as possible to honor Jake. Ace Pot will be full payout to any player that achieves the Ace. If no Ace is hit during Rd 1, there will be CTP flag placed during rd 2 doubles. The person that achieves this feat will receive 50% of the total ace pot and the other half will be donating to the Jake Rickert Legacy Fund. There will also be a 50/50 CTP during Rd 1, where the person who achieves this will receive 50% of the total, and the other half will be donated to the Jake Rickert Legacy Fund.

Individuals will also have the option to select an donation amount that the BDGA will proudly add to total donation amount once the event is over.

There will also be an option to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win Paul McBeth limited edition signed Discraft discs. All proceeds from raffle will be again donated to the Jake Rickert Legacy Fund.

We will be awarding cash prizes for amateur division winners in morning rounds with cash payout for Open divisions. Cash Prizes awarded for the afternoon doubles round.

And Remember this a fundraiser event with the sole purpose of honoring one of our own. The Jake Rickert Legacy Fund was setup by Jake's dad, Greg Rickert, with the Paul McBeth Foundation to help fund the growth of the sport, by giving back to communities all over the U.S. We honor Jake and his family and friends by helping him give back to a sport he loved dearly.
