Welcome to the second USDGC Doubles Qualifier of 2022 presented by Dark Ace Disc Golf! If you were at last year's event then you know just how much fun we're about to have. If you weren't then GET READY!
Format: Two rounds of Bring Your Own Partner/Best Shot doubles
Player Pack: USDGC Doubles stamped Innova disc and FIRST 100 PLAYERS ALSO GET A DARK ACE CHAMPION BACKPACK (all others will receive equivalent value in DA vouchers)
$20 from each team will go to payout through Dark Ace
We are opening up registration to PROS
- Pros are NOT playing for a spot at USDGC AM Doubles, but simply playing for cash. They do not get the USDGC AM Dubs Disc in the player pack, but if they're one of the first 100 players, they still get the SICK Champion backpack.
All AMs, note eligibility below.
Player Eligibility:
· All players must meet one of the following criteria in order to be eligible to compete in the USDGC Doubles Main event:
o Player is not a PDGA member or does not have a player rating and has never accepted cash in a PDGA event.
o Player has an Amateur Player Classification with the PDGA - meaning the player is classified as an amateur and plays in amateur divisions for prizes instead of cash. If a player plays in a Pro division and accepts cash at any time, they become classified as a Professional member. An Amateur class player has either never accepted cash, or if they have, they have later met the criteria to be reclassified from Professional back to Amateur with the PDGA.
· A mixed group of pro and am class players is not allowed.
· Players who qualify as a team must play together as a team in the main event. No substitutions, no exceptions.
· All qualified players must register online by Sunday, September 11th. No exceptions.
How qualifying for the main event works:
Men
1-14 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
15-24 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
25+ Teams = 3 Teams qualify
Women
1-4 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
5-9 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
10+ Teams – 3 Teams qualify
Qualifying teams will be eligible to register to compete at the main event in Rock Hill,SC in September.
On top of the regular ace pool we will also be doing the "Dark Ace Extra Ace" pool where you could win an extra $100 if you hit and ace while wearing a shirt from Dark Ace.
