About this tournament

On August 6th 2022, Cranbrook will be hosting the Idlewild Endeavour. The event is part of the women's global event (WGE), an intiative run by the PDGA women's comittee targeting new players of all ages and abilities from all over the world. While you're playing against gals at your course, you'll also be playing against females from all over the globe! Our course at Idlewild is perfect for the beginner and while the trees can certainly be a challenge... the holes average out to 150feet on average. What better place to start! We guarantee throws in the right direction, the wrong direction and definitely a lot of laughs! Check out our promo video from last year to give you a feel for the event :)

All players who sign up by May 28th are guaranteed a sweet player's pack, worth much more than the entry fee! It sets up the new player and offers some gems to the seasoned player. Last year's items were certainly a hit! The PDGA WGE committee usually does weekly raffles from sponsors for early sign ups. Cranbrook will also be doing a local version of this, too!

If you're not sure what division to sign up in, send me a message and I'll be sure to help guide you. You can also easily change your mind on what division to play, even up until the day before the tournament. So not a big deal on where you sign up. I recommend those that can enter a protected age division for e.g. FA60+ (female, amateur 60 and over) do so. While you may be the only participant in Cranbrook, you could potentially win a global prize as you are compared to other ladies 60+ all over the world. Last year 1st place was a Zuca Cart! ($500).

For this event, I am mindful when forming groups and try to put players together that I think will be a good fit (if they don't know each other). Furthermore, if you are a bit hesitant and you're signing up with other people, let me know. I'm more than happy to put you together for the first round. We also have a ladies league every Thursday evening at 6pm Idlewild. Come along and our regular crew will show you how it's done!

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see you there!
