About this tournament

Divisions:
There will be 5 divisions offered:
Pro, AM1, AM2, AM3, and AM4.
Pros will play for cash. Amateurs will play for merchandise. There will be a wide assortment of merchandise to choose from, including 100s of discs and other disc golf merchandise.

Cost:
The cost is $60 PER TEAM, not per person. ($2 of each person's entry fee will be used for the course fee)

Format:
This is a triples tournament that's a little different...
- Each team will have 3 members.
- There will be 3 guaranteed mini rounds of 9 holes (either front 9 or back 9), where 2 teams will play against each other. The 2 teams with the best win/loss records from each division will play a final 9 holes for first place in their respective divisions.
- It is NOT best disc. Each player will play the hole individually. The team with the best total score will win the hole. (For example, if the 3 players on a team score a 2, a 3, and a 3, then their total score is 8.)
- Winning a hole will result in 5 points. If there is a tie on a hole, the 5 points will carry over with an additional 3 points for each following hole until a team wins a hole. (For example, if the 2 teams tie the first 3 holes, then a team wins the 4th hole, they will earn 14 points: 5 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 14.)
- In addition to the points for winning a hole, there is a bonus of 2 points for every birdie earned by any member of a team. The four par 4s will be played as par 4s, so a 3 is a birdie. An eagle is worth 4 bonus points.
- If the 2 teams tie the last hole of the round, neither team is awarded any points for that hole or the preceding strand of tied holes. This may seem harsh, but all that matters is which team has more points at the end of the round.
- The team that scores more points at the end of each match will be awarded the winner of that match.
- The 2 teams with the best records at the end of the first 3 mini rounds will play a final 9 holes for first place. If more than 2 teams have records that would allow them to be in the finals, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head competition. The second tiebreaker is a sudden death playoff.

Number of teams:
We hope to have 4 or 8 teams per division. If not, we'll make it work.

Payouts:
The top 25% of each division will be paid out.

Registration:
To register, please list all 3 team members' names in the comments section as well as your TEAM NAME. If any members are PDGA members, please list their numbers.

Ace Pool:
There will be an optional $5 ace pool. If no aces are hit, there will be a throw-off for the money.

Lunch:
There will be a 45 minute lunch break after the second round.
