10th Annual Father’s Day Tournament
All details here subject to change before registration opens.
When:
Saturday June 20th (the day before Father’s Day )
Schedule:
TBD
Where:
Woodruff Leisure Center
Format:
Each player is responsible for 50% of the first throws, normal captain’s choice doubles after that. Teams must be Father/Grandfather/Uncle and Child/Grandchild/Niece/Nephew. If you have more than 2 on a team, let us know and we can explain those rules to you.
Cost:
$20 per team.
Divisions:
Three Divisions: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Based on the youngest person’s age.
Gold Division - Youngest Player is 15 years old or greater.
Silver Division - Youngest Player 10 to 14 years old.
Bronze Division - Youngest Player is 9 years old or younger.
Prizes:
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each Division. (sudden death playoffs for any ties)
Layouts:
TBD
OB:
TBD
Rules for teams of 3 or more:
The Father/Grandfather/Uncle would be one player on the team. Then the collection of children would be the other team "member". There can be only two players from the “team” playing a hole at any given time. If there are multiple children, then the Father/Grandfather/Uncle will need to pick which child will play the hole with him for that particular hole. The other children that are not playing the hole will not throw that hole. They instead can walk along until it is their turn to play a hole with their parent. The Father/Grandfather/Uncle will be responsible for 50% of the drives, and then the collective of the children will be responsible for 50% of the drives as well. Everyone gets a chance to play but, we are still being fair to the other participants in the event since there are only two competitors per team, per hole.
