About this tournament
1 round of play
The Grand Rapids North Rotary Fundraiser Tournament will be held on Sunday, October 23rd to benefit the Northview High School and Alternative High School. The tournament will include two rounds of 18 holes of disc golf in singles format. No players pack will be provided in order to maximize the payouts for the winners.
Registration:
1) Prepaid registration online or At Disc Baron (4485 Plainfield Ave NE Ste 206, Grand Rapids, MI 49525)
2) Any spots left day of the event will be available for first come first serve registration for anyone who did not prepay and register. ($5 DAY OF FEE - THIS WILL BE DONATED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND)
Fundraiser:
$5 from every participants entry fee will be donated to the Grand Rapids North Rotary’s Scholarship Fund for the Northview High School and Alternative High School.
Format:
2 rounds of 18 holes - Both rounds will consist of singles play
Some women or juniors players may play from the short tee pads on certain holes.
Scoring:
Scoring for the event will be based upon normal singles scores.
Ace Pool & 50/50 -
$3 Ace Pool, $2 Long Putt 50/50 & $2 Closest to the Pink 50/50 will be available for individual to enter. Half of the 50/50 entry fees will be donated towards the Northview Scholarship Fund..
Divisions:
I can add any division by request if it is not listed. There must be at least 3 participants to make a division. You can register for any division but if that division does not have enough participants to qualify day of the event, you will need to move to a qualifying division prior to play and additional fees may be required or refunded if the registration fees differ. Womens and Juniors divisions do not need to meet the minimum
Mulligans:
Mulligans will be available for sale day of the event. Maximum of 5 mulligans can be purchased and they can only be used in the 1st round of play. $2 per Mulligan
Prizes:
Disc Baron will be providing prizes on several holes for all divisions, including CTPs and LPs
Lunch Break:
Lunch break will last approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes after the last group has turned in their card.
Lunch:
Lunch is being donated by The Grilling Company (http://www.thegrillingco.com) and will be available at the course between rounds for a suggested donation. All proceeds will be donated to the Grand Rapids North Rotary’s Scholarship Fund for the Northview High School and Alternative High School.
Raffle:
Grand Rapids North Rotary will be conducting a raffle for several donated items from local businesses.
Payouts:
100% of Division Entry Fees will be paid out to the approximate top 1/3 of each division, less the $5 Fundraiser Fee. Amateur payouts will be provided by Disc Baron in the form of vouchers to Disc Baron’s retail or online store. COUPONS WILL NEED TO BE USED AT THE STORE OR ONLINE. PRODUCT WILL NOT BE BROUGHT THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Winners will have until 11/16/16 to redeem their vouchers. Vouchers must be used in one transaction and no change will be provided.
