COURSE DESCRIPTION
Nestled in the mountains outside Missoula lies the Gilman Gauntlet. A tournament grade course designed to challenge players of every skill level. This is woods disc golf at its best. The fairways are thoughtfully shaped and the greens are appointed with the best baskets in the game (MVP Black Hole Portals). The Gauntlet provides disc golfers the opportunity to compete at the highest level in a setting that is sure to become a highlight in Western Montana disc golf for years to come. You'll want to tell people you were there when it all started at the Gauntlet!
TOURNAMENT VALUE
• Winners in each category receive a custom engraved trophy.
• Players in all amateur divisions will receive a custom-stamped commemorative disc. Amateurs playing the two day tournament will receive two tourney discs. MA3/FA3 and juniors will receive a single tourney disc. Other tournament discs will be available for purchase (subject to availability).
• All amateur divisions will receive additional tournament swag.
• All registration includes a conservation fee ($10) that helps to cover the costs of course installation and maintenance.
• Professional divisions will receive a payout via PayPal.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds will be available Monday - Friday of Tournament week (7/14-7/18) from 12:30pm-8:30pm. Practice rounds are free for tournament participants and volunteers but are also open to non-tournament participants who would like to experience the course ($10 day use fee). All practice rounds players will need to check in with the volunteer team to pay the fee in cash, sign the course waiver and receive the course map. Please understand that course work will still be going on during the practice rounds so players may have to skip holes that are being finalized for the tournament.
RANDOM DOUBLES
Friday Night @ 6pm
Random doubles is open tournament players ($5 buy in) and non-tournament players ($10 buy in). We'll plan to meet up near the area marked for camping in the center of the course map (see tournament pictures).
CAMPING
Dry camping will be available on site (Friday-Saturday Night) for a $5 fee per person (no dogs on property). There are multiple outhouses available on site.
WEATHER
We're likely to have warm weather come tournament time. Thankfully the Gauntlet course is in the mountains so temperatures for the tournament will likely be 10-15 degrees cooler than what is forecasted for Missoula. There will be water stations throughout the course so that you can refill water bottles as needed. Please plan accordingly given the forecast.
COURSE ADDRESS
21025 Gilman Creek Road, Missoula, MT, 59804
(Please see the map image posted in the tournament pictures. Each map software is a bit different and we want to make sure you have no problems getting to the course. It takes around 40 minutes to get to the Gauntlet from central Missoula on mountain backroads, plan accordingly!).
