About this tournament
2 rounds of play
Ahh....March Madness in a disc golf way. Bring your favorite disc golf partner out for a challenging round of disc golf. Last year the March Madness was definitely madness with an ample amount of snow covering the ground and un-practiced holes due to un-playable holes.
The 18 hole course is shown in the Pictures section of the Tournament Listing. OBs are not shown, but are as follows: ALL plowed walkways are OB. If you are on or within the embankment, you are OB. Play from where the disc was last In Bounds. On or within the embankments of the road or parking lot(s) are also OB. Play from where the disc went out of bounds. Over the fence on holes 1, 3, 4, & 5 is OB. Play from where the disc was last in bounds (where it went OB). The tennis courts for holes 10 & 17 are OB. Play from where the disc went OB. The Ball Field on Hole 11 is OB. Play from where the disc went OB. Hole 14, the posts marking a non-plowed parking lot are also indicating OB. Pink flags mark the line at the end of the lot. I will TRY to get more flags into place and a shoveled spot for a DROP ZONE for the unfortunate situation of not making it in bounds on the drive. If the drop zone is used, play from the last point the disc was in bounds (where it went OB). Hole 16 is the ONLY hole where if you are on the right side of the walkway (near the woods) on BOTH PARTNER DRIVES, you will re-tee with NO ADDITIONAL penalty stroke (do not take an OB stroke, just the singular stroke for the shot). If you land within the embankment or cross the walkway on your approach, play from the last point that the disc was in bounds.
LOST DISCS WILL NOT be assessed an OB penalty stroke. Play from a group decided spot for the APPROXIMATE lie. ALL players on the card are to help find lost discs. Please only look for 3 minutes then move on. Please come prepared with ribbon on your discs as the snow presents a difficulty in finding where a disc went in.
Water has been a hazard in years past, so use caution when treading the course.... there may be hidden water. The sled hill has been taken out of play. See the course map for the alternate layout area to make up for the hill.
All tiers are offered, but the requirement for 3 sets of partners is preferred.... you might be able to convince the tournament staff into allowing an exception (i.e. 2 pairs of Women, JRs, Master Pro, etc.).
It was discussed and we will NOT be offering a players package for this event to increase payouts to doubles partners.
