About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This is the annual Ice Bowl event hosted by the Grand Rapids Dogs of Disc with proceeds going to Feeding America of West Michigan. The main goal of this tournament is to help end hunger.
The goal this year is to meet and beat last year's donation that raised approximately 1,665 meals after cash and food donations were turned in. We resulted with 2,069 meals with the $420, 88lbs of food, and $80 donation from the Spinski's Ice Bowl Event.
There will be 2 rounds of 18 on Brewer South, and a Chili cook-off during the lunch break between the rounds. GRDoD has paid for the electric at the pavilion to be on for this event. No generators needed. RM will provided a couple/few surge protectors and power cord extensions. GRDoD will also provide bowls and spoons. If it is appearing that the event will be nearing dark sooner than completing the second round, the round might be altered similarly to 2015. - Great job on getting through the course with daylight left to spare.
Due to high winds, the course has received some natural alterations. The few wooded holes have all received some of mother nature's grooming techniques. Hole 16 will be played from its position from back in the 4 nines days with a temporary basket. All participants are to shoot from the short pad on hole 6.- Sorry for the river play all. It was not there when I went through the course the day before.
