About this tournament
New Hampshire’s first winter PDGA event is on its way! Saturday, January 30th, at Topo the Hill, we will be hosting the Frozen Chain Championship! This will be a two round c-tier event. I’ll do my best to talk to Mother Nature and see if she can send us some mild winter weather. Being in the winter and a pdga event, the use of ribbons, LEDs and chalk are permitted to prevent the loss of discs. Standard PDGA rules apply.
We will be playing the winter blues layout for both rounds of the tournament. This includes short hole 2, 13 to 14s basket, with 16 being chopped in to two separate holes. This will save us any hassles that may come from the slopes on 2, 13 and 14.
Be prepared!!! It’s winter, so cold temps, wet feet, and inclement weather are possible. I know I’ll be wearing winter boots, snow pants, and some warm layers to keep me comfortable throughout the day, I encourage you to do the same!
Top 40% of Pros will be paid out via PayPal
Top 45% of Ams will be paid out in Martybuxxxx
8 dollars go to the course for greens fees
A small portion of your buy in will go towards pdga fees
The rest of your tournament buy-in will go straight to payouts
It is a new year, don’t forget to renew your PDGA membership. There is a 10 dollar fee for non-pdga members.
Winter won’t stop us from getting the tournament season started!
I will be running a huge raffle with lots of discs and prizes!
I am not kidding when I say there will be a LOT of stuff in the raffle. Everything that goes in to the raffle goes right back to the players!
Being on time is the cool thing to do! Please be checked in by 8:30 and to your starting hole by 8:45.
We will be using PDGA live scoring, please make sure your phones are charged and ready for a day of disc golf! Cold weather can drain the battery life quicker than normal. if your phone dies during the tournament, one of the other card members can log in and continue the round.
