It is that time of year again! Time for Glow Golf at Oxbow to benefit The Alzheimer's Association!
Come out and help raise money for a great cause while having a fun time with family and friends! All proceeds of the event will go to The Alzheimer's Association. Last year, together with your help we raised $4,481 which I was able to turn in to $13,443 with a 3x match. (prior year was $7,655 which turned in to $22,965 and before than was $5,950 and turned in to $17,850) It's been a busy year for me so haven't had a lot of time to prepare and I almost was going to pass on it this year but then thought, hey some money to the cause is better than none so let's go!
As most of you know, it is a cause near and dear to me. My mother and grandmother each had Alzheimer's. It is a horrible disease that effects many. Together we can help support research for a Cure! This is a trophy only event.
Players pack item will be a shirt by BTX Sports who also did the shirts last year. You should register early as I had to order shirt sizes ahead of opening registration due to tariffs and the price would have been out of budget if I waited. Once the sizes are gone, they are gone. REGISTER EARLY so you are sure to get one of the cool shirts. There are women and men's cuts. (Sizes over XL for men will be another +$2.) SHIRT IS REFLECTED UNDER PICTURES
I believe I still have some LED lights that you can stick on your disc that will be on hand for sale for 2 for $3.
In addition to the event, I will be selling fundraiser discs. The disc is by Elevation Disc Golf and is a Glow Koi. These discs are known as "floppy". They basically stick where they land to help eliminate rollaways in situations that could certainly add some strokes. The Koi has saved me many strokes and I have bagged one for a few years now. It's a good time to get one and bag this unique disc while supporting a great cause. These will be $20. DISC IS REFLECTED UNDER PICTURES
$1 Mulligan's (unlimited). Cool basket lights will be lighting up the baskets and we will have pumpkins lighting up the walk way.
If you come in a costume (more than a hat...up to my discretion) you will get 3 free Mulligans.
The Ace pool will be a 50/50 Ace pool with 50% going to a person (or split if multiple people hit one) who gets an Ace. If no Ace is hit, the full amount goes to the charity.
I am working each year to try to make it smoother and more timely to get everyone home at a reasonable time.
