Fresno Grizzlies Disc Golf Package
About this tournament
August 19th will be an incredible opportunity for a day of disc golf like you have never had before. We will have Chukchansi Stadium, the home of the Fresno Grizzlies and the Fresno FC ,for a full day of disc golf. We are starting in the morning with a shotgun start to a Legacy Disc Golf Clash of the Aces and finishing the day with a full disc golf experience that will take you to parts of the park that you may have never seen before.
The Clash of the Aces will be two rounds of 13 shortened holes in which you go for an Ace each time you throw. Aces will determine the winners with metal hits breaking all ties. This event has an incredible players pack which includes an Icon Rival, a new mold mid-range, a Gravity putter, a Legacy towel, a mini disc, a sticker, a wristband and a discount code to the Legacy Discs Pro Shop. The new mold mid-range is the Vandal, the yet unreleased new midrange from the minds at Legacy Discs.
The second event is an unsanctioned fundraising event for the Kearney Park course that should have construction begin on it later this year. It will give you an opportunity to play a full round of disc golf. There will be 13 holes that play throughout the stadium grounds, taking full advantage of its unique features. You will be teeing off over the outfield pool, careening your way through the underground tunnels, navigating your way from deck to deck, and skipping your disc through the concourse. There will be holes for every skill level. You'll be able unleash a drive from the top deck across the stadium to an elevated basket. Other holes will challenge your touch with deceiving elevation changes and closely marked OB. The signature finishing hole will require you to throw out the top deck window of the press box to the infield island green, reaching the basket on the pitchers mound. Each player will receive a special disc commemorating the event and will play one round of golf. We will keep and post scores, but this event is designed to be enjoyed as a distinctive round that will create memories to last a lifetime. When you register for this event please select your tee time. Additional tee times may be available day of for an additional $20.
Included in whichever disc golf package that you choose will be a ticket to the Grizzlies game on August 10th. The game itself should be a great event for the disc golf community and a chance to expose a larger audience to our sport. There will be several disc golf themed events during the game (including a long drive exhibition, FCDG throwing out the first pitch and putting with Parker and Cilantro Gomez). There will also be a fireworks show after the game. We are hoping to flood the game and show the Grizzlies and the city the number of people who are involved in disc golf. Grab a few extra tickets to the game (only $10 each) and bring friends and family out for a great evening. While you are at it, wear some disc golf apparel to show the city how large the disc golf community truly is.
