About this tournament
This is a fundraiser for DeKalb Memorial's Disc Golf Course! All proceeds go directly to the course. All competitors will get either a DeKalb Memorial Disc or Intown Atlanta DGC disc.
32 players in all, 16 teams. All teams will be randomly assigned.
This putting tournament is part of the Fall Frolic Festival at DeKalb Memorial. The first one held was in 2019. We'd planned to do one in 2020 but were unable due to covid restrictions.
The setup and rules are simple. Each team has two players. The baskets are 30 feet apart. One member of the team at each basket. Each side takes alternate turns to putt at the basket with two discs. One successful putt is worth 1 point and two successful putts is worth 3 points. You play to 11 and must win by 2 points. No jump putts. Player must demonstrate balance and not step forward. These putts are all within 10 meters. Your lie is at the front of the basket. 80 year olds on up can take a few paces forward towards the basket to approximately 20 feet away from the basket.
