Welcome to another disc golf event at Blomidon Golf Club hosted by Corner Brook Disc Golf!
The Blomidon Disc Golf Course is a temporary 18-hole course installed at the Blomidon Golf Course in Corner Brook NL. In general, the course does not follow the golf course layout. It is much more open than the Corner Brook Disc Golf Course, but there are still plenty of obstacles. Throwing for distance is an asset.
Players can choose to play one or two casual rounds in the general division or participate in a two-round PDGA-sanctioned C-tier tournament. There will be different layouts for different skill levels and ages. The red is a shorter layout for beginners and age-protected divisions (MA4/FA4/MA50/FA50/some junior divisions), the white layout is for intermediate players (MA2/FA2/MA3/FA3/MA40/FA40/other junior divisions), and the blue layout is for advanced players (MPO/FPO/MA1/FA1). General division players may choose whichever layout they'd like.
Both groups will receive a player pack that includes the choice of CBDG merch or credit at a disc golf retailer. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in all divisions with at least three players.
We're doing an optional "bring your partner" doubles round on Saturday Nov 1 at 1PM. You can register here ($20/team for the Advanced Division; $10/team for the General Division). Half the registration goes to the club. $200 added cash in Advanced Division from Bob's Beauty Salon. Top 40% in Advanced Division paid out cash. Top 45% of General Division paid out with merch. If you need a partner, reach out (the matched couple won the general division at Provincials, so there's no shame there!). Best shot on the front 9; alternate shot on the back nine.
Pass through fees (included in registration) are a $12 greens/facility/bathroom fee and $3 PDGA player fees. For tournament players, non-PDGA members will have to pay a $15 temporary PDGA membership fee. In the general division, non-DGNL members will have to pay a $5 temporary DGNL membership fee.
