2022 United States Amateur MATCH PLAY Championships - Fairfield Park Bracket
Dynamic Discs and Latitude 64 are proud to present the United States Amateur Matchplay Championships (USAMPC)
Only 8 players allowed; players must have Amateur or no PDGA status and must be rated below 970

$65 entry fee includes:
-Entry into 8 player bracket

-An invite to the Championship Bracket in Emporia, Kansas – September 22nd-24th, 2022 (Player pays their own way; no expenses are covered)
-If attending the Championship Bracket in Emporia, $200 of store credit upon arrival in Emporia
2nd Place receives:
-$45 dynamicdiscs.com credit
Consolation Bracket winner receives:
-TBD
RULES
-Matches are 18 holes, head-to head, one bracket member against another
-Players will schedule their match according to their own schedules after the bracket is established
-If you win your first match, you move on to round 2. If you lose, you move to the consolation bracket
This is event is MATCH PLAY; not stroke play that you are used to in many events!
-Match play is scored by holes, not strokes; both players start on the 1st hole and the winner of the hole is determined by the score. If you take a 4 and your opponent takes a 5, you are said to be "1 UP" because you scored better on that hole. On hole 2, if you take an 8 and your opponent takes a 2, your match is back to "All Square", or Even, regardless of the wide margin hole 2 was determined by. If you tie on a hole, no one wins that hole and you continue at the same score you were at before that hole (holes DO NOT push, like in the Skins format). The match can end early if one player is up by more holes than are remaining on the course (Up 6 with 5 to play: match is over) because the losing player can not make up the difference. If the match is still tied after 18 holes, play continues in sudden death starting back on hole 1.
