The Farmhouse Folk want to invite all our friends out for the first annual Farmolympics! Four person teams will compete in 16 events over 2 days on June 22-23. Each team must contain at least one woman. There will be kegs, grilling, music and a bonfire, and, of course, the games, which will include the following: disc golf, badminton, lawn bowling (with bowling balls) slack line, horseshoes/chains, racing (3 legged and wheelbarrow), archery, target shooting, axe throwing, tug-of-war, pie eating/cherry pit spitting baggo, pool, darts, euchre/poker, and beer pong/flip cup. In most events, a team will field one singles competitor, one doubles team, and a bye. Exceptions: everyone plays horseshoes/chains, racing, tug-of-war, and the drinking games. Each player on a team must play in at least half of the events. If you want to play but don't have a team, sign up here, on facebook, or any other way with me or Anslie Newman; we will form the pool of singles into teams on Saturday morning. This entry fee for this event is $20 per person. The top third of teams will be paid out. $5 of each entry goes toward kegs and grillables. Yum. If you sign up, make sure you play!
