About this tournament
2 rounds of play
In June of 2024, Franklin County Disc Golf lost one of our own, Evan Stoos. Mirror Match was the last tournament and one of the last rounds Evan got to play before he tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Mirror Match will forever be known as Evans tourney.
Mirror Match is a 1 day, 2-round BYOP doubles tournament at Westy Acres Disc Golf Course in Greenfield MA.
LAYOUTS
This is a Yin Yang style event, as in the first round we play the course backwards (basket to teepad) and then for round 2 we will flip it, and play the course normally (teepad to basket). Layout will be 18-hole tournament whites played backward and forward. Players rated under 820 can play from the short tees for the backwards round, and the red tees for the frontwards round.
CHARITY TOURNAMENT
The majority of our profits will be donated to the NMSF (National Motorcycle Safety Fund) https://nmsfund.org/ Since 1973, the NMSF has been working tirelessly to eliminate motorcycle crashes, injuries, and fatalities through its many research and training programs and motorist awareness efforts.
Join us for a great day raising awareness, and celebrating our friend. Evan, we miss you with all our hearts, this one's for you.
PLAYER'S PACKS
Everyone will receive a custom tournament stamped mini.
LUNCH
A lunch of, burgers, veggie burgers, dogs, potato salad and beans will be provided by Cherry Rail Farms. Gluten-free bun options will be available.
COOL EXTRAS
We will be raffling off a 55 Quart Pelican Cooler filled with all sorts of goodies to help raise additional funds. One for 1$ or ten for 5$. Winning ticket will be drawn and announced right after awards.
GROUP PHOTO
We will be taking a group picture of all players, tourney staff and volunteers immediately following the players meeting in the morning.
AWARDS
There will be a small trophy for 1st-3rd place for each division with 3 or more teams by May 24th. Awards will be handed out 15 minutes after the 2nd round finishes. Stick around for a podium photo!
