About this tournament

The first annual English Disc Golf Open is proudly being run at Essex University, the UK’s oldest disc golf course
The competition is a B-Tier event and will consist of three rounds and a final 9. Two rounds played on Saturday 13th August and one round played on the morning of Sunday 14th August followed by a Final 9 holes played by the top 5 of every division.
The competition will be run on shotgun starts, first round on Saturday starting at 9:30 and second round beginning 45 minutes after return of last group from the first. Sunday's first round will start at 10:00 with the final 9 being played 45 minutes starting 45 minutes after return of last group.
The course being played is a modified layout to the standard course, it will be open and set up in competition layout on Friday 12th for players to practice at a current cost of £5 per round.
accommodation is available on site, you need to contact events essex and book through them
food is available on the university site, there is a shop, sandwich bar and a student union bar serving food.
All entry fees go towards green fees for the use of the course, some equipment needed to operate the competition and the rest is all going to trophies and prizes.
