Entry fee covers you for the random draw doubles, and one entry into each of the competitive play events(CTP’s). A 1st place winner(s) will be awarded for each event, including the doubles round.
Sign In opens at 9:40am and close at 11 am
The CTP games begin at 10am
Doubles Round @ 12pmish
We will run the games carnival style. You will receive tickets that allow you to compete in each event. The CTP events will be categories by distance- The putt, mid-range, fairway, and distance drive competitions will all be set out, with a host at each event. You will give the host your ticket, and make your throw. The host will record your throw. You then move on to the next event, completing all events in your own time, but before 11:30 am. The games portion of the day will last from 10 am to 11:30 am. Winners will be announced at Noon just before we head to the course for the doubles round.
It will be a not so random draw doubles. Using a split deck of cards to make teams.
A $5 Ace Pool will be generated at the event. Bring cash to buy in. 50/50 payout, or 33/33/33, or 25/25/25/25, etc. The tournament itself gets a cut of the ACE pool, and whoever else gets an ACE. No CTP, if no one Aces, the course gets the cash.
We will have three CTP holes (separate form the Ace pot). The CTP prizes will be provided by our co-hosting clubs, Superstition DGC, Gila Valley League out of Safford/Pima/Thatcher and the disc golfers from Coolidge/Casa Grande. A $25 gift card for Bravo Americano for each CTP as well.
First 40 to enter receive perks from local sponsors. Additional entries can be paid the day of the event. $15 (Even if you cannot register here because it is full. You are welcome to come to the event. You can pay on the day of, and you can still get prizes by winning events.)
The Cobre Valley Friends of Disc Golf will be using this event to raise money for maintenance on the course. The course is part of a park for the City of Globe. We hope to show the city that disc golf can be a benefit to the community and not another expense. Just by playing in this event, you will be helping us immensely. Thank you.

PUTT Challenge:
you will use 5 discs. you will shoot from 7 positions. As long as the disc goes in, you can retrieve it for next position. Once a disc hits the ground it is out of play. You will shoot all available discs at the position before moving back to the next. When all of your discs have hit the ground, your turn is over. The player with the most total points wins.
Position 1: 5 Feet- 1 point. Position 2: 7 Feet- 2 points. Position 3: 10 Feet 3 Points. Position 4: 14 feet- 4 points. Position 5: 19 feet- 5 points. Position 6: 25 feet- 6 points. Position 7: 32 feet- 7 points.
Mid-Range Challenge:
Use any disc you want. 140 Foot shot between two fences. CTP wins
Fairway Challenge:
Use any disc you want. 200 Foot shot under the rahmada. CTP wins
Distance Challenge:
Use any disc you want. 50-60 feet up the mountain, shooting down onto the field. Multiple baskets will be setup at varying distances. Each basket will have rings around it with point markers. The further the basket, the higher the points. The closer to each basket, the higher the points. Imagine 3-6 baskets in a field with a dart board bullseye around them. This way players of varying distance abilities can be competitive, while still rewarding max distance- if it has control. Like Top Golf kind of…
Registering for the event gives you one ticket for each event. this one ticket equals one throw. If you wish to have more than one throw, you can purchase extra tickets at the registration table. 1st extra ticket- $2, 6 tickets for $10 (Extra ticket purchase may be used at Mid, Fairway, or Drive. No extra Putts.) You can purchase as many throws as you want, since the point is to raise money, I decided not to set a limit. However, you must complete all throws at all stations within the 1.5 hour time frame. And only one throw counts- you cannot stack points with multiple throws. So you get extra chances, but everyone will be measured by only one throw, CTP or distance points. (Again, putts separate)
Best Shot Doubles:
Registration buys you into the doubles round. I will have a single mulligan available per team, at the extra cost of $10 per team. We will try our best to create teams that pair great players with learning players. And then we will also have groups with two mid level players on the same team. If you really want to be on a team with someone, as long as it's not two of the best players, we can probably work it out.
(When using the Mulligan. You call Mulligan after the second player throws, and before anyone else throws. The mulligan allows for both players on the team to rethrow from the same position. Players may NOT run up and check their disc, must call mulligan after 2nd players disc lands and before the next team lines up to throw. If this is off the teepad, please let all teams throw in the card order, and then use your mulligan. If it is in field play, you may take mulligan before any other team throws to keep the pace of the game. No need to track the Mulligan with any markings on a card or UDisc, we will use the honor system, if you paid for one, use it once; each card regulates their own players.)
