PDGA C-Tier Event

2 rounds of 20 holes at Effingham Disc Golf Course - Winter Layout

Pro players will be paid out via PayPal. Amateur divisions will be trophy only, as this event is a fundraiser for our fall tournament, Effingham Open - Battle at the Crossroads.

Trophies will be custom made epoxy disc golf minis with your name and PDGA # on them. Due to them being custom, I will get the name and address of each division winner and will ship them to you when they are complete. Divisions with 3 or more participants will be eligible for a trophy.

First 50 players will receive a Discraft disc as a player pack.

Closest to the Pin (CTP) prizes will be available on holes 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11B, 13, 15, & 17. CTPs will run through both rounds and will be free to all participants. You must pay into the $5 CTP to be eligible to win the cash CTP. The cash CTP will be on hole 12.

PDGA Live Scoring will be utilized for this tournament. A second scorecard of some kind is required. It is easiest if multiple people utilize PDGA online scoring. Otherwise, a paper scorecard or UDisc can be utilized.

OBs:
1: Triple Mando. Any shots that miss the Mando go to the drop zone with a 1-stroke penalty. On/over parking lot OB.
2A: On/over parking lot OB. On pavement OB. On-in pavilion OB. May take lateral relief up to 1-meter from the large rocks on the left for footing’s sake.
2B: Peninsula green. OB baseball field. OB on/over parking lot. OB on/over sidewalk.
3: Mando left. If missed Mando, play next shot from drop zone with 1-stroke penalty. On/over gravel road left OB. On/in pavilion OB.
4: No OB.
5: Mando left. If missed Mando, play next shot from drop zone (indicated by flags, not the OG drop-zone) with 1-stroke penalty. OB baseball field. Road plays as river. This does not mean the black asphalt connecting to the road, just the road.
6: OB baseball field.
7: OB on/in pavilion. OB line left separating 7/9 fairways.
8: OB on/over road right. OB on/over sidewalk left. OB on/in pavilion.
9: OB line left separating 7/9 fairways. OB on/over gravel path long and parking lot right indicated by painted line.
10: Mando left. If missed, play from drop zone to the left of the Mando tree with a 1-stroke penalty. Left of grey pipe-fence OB. On/over road left (through the woods) OB. Grass before the road at the bottom of the hill is inbounds up until the start of the pipe fence.
11A: Temp hole. Playing from natural tee (indicated by flags) to basket towards OG 8 basket. Surrounded by water OB.
11B: Temp hole. Playing from natural tee (indicated by flags) up hill to winter hole 11 (OG 7) basket. No OB.
12: No OB.
13: Green plays as an ISLAND. Island edges are the parking lot, far edge of gravel walking path, and a painted line left (by hole 14’s tee). Any shot that misses the island from the tee goes to the drop zone with a 1-stroke penalty. OB inside fence long.
14: OB in baseball field. OB on green building. OB on bathroom. OB parking lot. OB inside fence immediately right.
15: Play from temp natural tee indicated by flags. OB on/over road right. 1-meter casual relief from large rocks along road for footing purposes.
16: OB on/over road left. 1-meter casual relief from large rocks along road for footing purposes.
17: OB on/over road left. OB parking lot deep. 1-meter casual relief from large rocks along road for footing purposes.
18: OB parking lot. OB on green building. OB baseball field. OB in fence left by 13’s basket. OB on bathroom. OB on/in pavilion. Painted OB line does not come into play on this hole, it is for holes 14/15.

Notes:
• There is a UDisc layout that is to be utilized for this tournament.
• Hole 5 – Beware of people teeing off on hole 12. If there are people teeing, allow the higher number hole to go first.
• Hole 8 – Playing from the top of the hill indicated by flags. Also, beware of people teeing off on hole 9. If there are people teeing, allow the higher number hole to go first.
• Hole 12 – Beware of the metal support wires that hold the Christmas lights in place. Also, if you make it over the crest of the hill, it is easiest to walk around to the left along the road and then up the hill.
• Hole 15 will have an alternate tee that is indicated by flags. This is due to the original tee being utilized by hole 18.
• Holes 14 & 18 – These two holes kind of share a fairway. Please be aware of other players throwing and be courteous to one another when playing these holes.
• Christmas lights are considered an obstacle and must be played where the disc lies if you are near them.
